Pasir Gudang - Sat midnight racing
Pasir Gudang Circuit is the 2nd famous racing track in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The 1st is Sepang Ciruit in Selangor. This was my 2nd time in PG. and the 1st inside a race car with CK. Of coz, i was a passenger cum "adviser", not the driver. Maybe i would be 1, after i got my driving license. And i will become the slowest racing car in PG's records !! hahahaha...As usual, we went to meet the VOGS group at Jurong Birdpark at 9pm on Saturday evening. After several rounds of instructions given by the leader, we headed off to the second link at Tuas around 9:50pm. (late oledy!) Smooth traffic flow through the second link and we "cheong" to PG without any pit-stop at the speed of 140km/hr. (last time we stopped at a petrol station to pump petrol and buy snacks) A small traffic jam in the Johor town area paused our pace though.
Reached PG ciruit at around 11:15pm. Thought tonight was the supposedly Toyota-Free Nite, but we were all cheated. We paid RM10 per head entry, and an additional RM20 for the car entrance. (Reason they gave: This was the last racing night for the Ms cos they will be having the "Puasa" for 1 mth from next wk onwards. So all cars with M country car makes enjoyed the free car entrance benefit for the night.)
There were oledy many cars of different make lining up for races over there. (Total participating cars about 100 +) And the biggest contingent was the Mitsubishi team. We were so anxious filling up the indemnity forms at the registration counter. But luckily enough, we had a great fun racing 6 times over the short 1 & 1/2 hrs (1130 to 1pm). We were even the last 2 cars to drive past the gantry before the officials closed it for the night ! So heng ah !! ;p
It was oledy 1:30pm when we started to head home via second link. As i was screaming in hunger, we stopped over at a 24hr Macdonald in Taman Jurong to have supper. (so sinful ;p) Reached our home sweet home at 3pm.Another heng thingie: The woodlands causeway was jammed for nearly 2hrs. Luckily we were smart this time to travel by the second link. ;)
P.S. We had recorded the racing via video. But the files were just too big to be placed in the webpage. Therefore if you wish to view them, pls leave down your email address in the "comments" and i will fwd to you.
