EARTHQUAKE strikes !!
Oh for the whole of my life, i had only watched on the tv how the Japs hid under their tables when the earthquake strikes.... normally Singapore will not have quakes (touchwood), and even when quakes strike our neighbouring countries, the place i've stayed or worked would not experience any tremors.But today, there was an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 in West Sumatra. Yes, it affected almost the whole of S'pore. Around 11:50am, i could feel that my chair which i was sitting on, swaying and vibrating away... i thought i must be feeling floaty.... Then an annoucement came on from the management office, the building was indeed tremoring just now.. i even told my colleagues that there may be an earthquake in Indonesia.... minutes later, people were announcing that there was indeed an earthquake before the moments of tremor. While typing this message, i felt another tremor from our seats again. This time, my colleague felt it too....
Is S'pore land really safe to live in now ?
